Special and Young Investigators' Sessions

Young researchers (senior graduate students, post doctoral researchers) are encouraged to present their work. Special young investigator sessions will be organized and reduced fees are offered for this purpose.

The young investigators should be the presenting authors of their contribution.

All registered participants will receive a certificate of attendance for GRACM 2011.

Since the conference is organized in Athens and the conference fees for young investigators are low, this is an attractive possibility for them to present their work and contact the computational mechanics community.

In addition, a Best Doctoral Thesis Award will be given to a thesis on computational mechanics defended in 2010. The best thesis will be selected among those who will be submitted to GRACM in the framework of the relevant ECCOMAS call.

The following special and young investigators’ sessions are organized:

Computational biomechanics and tissue engineering
Organizers: Dr T. Exarchos, Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH) and Prof. D. I. Fotiadis, Univ. Ioannina

Multiscale modelling and computations
